Hey everyone, thanks for checking in. I want to especially thank the fam and
friends that came out to the City Place show last night. Was great to see
everyone on a hot but rain free night! We were a little nervous that Bonnie
was gonna kill our show. Thanks to the guys in the band, Chris, Craig, and
Brian, you guys killed it! Next Matt Farr Band date will hopefully be up in
Tallahassee, FL on Thursday Aug 12th, still hoping to work something out as
we will be up in that area for a private event on Aug 13th. Otherwise
Thursday Aug 5th, I will be with the VM crew at Fat Cats in Fort Lauderdale,
for now though I am heading to Mexico for a little diving, and chillin!

Album Available Worldwide - SunFest!

I am super excited to announce that the new album is available
worldwide on all major digital download sites for purchase including

This weekend marks the official release and celebration kicking off
with a 12:30 peformance at South Florida's largest music festival
SunFest. We will be live on the main South Stage Sunday May 2nd 12:30
PM.

That evening, we will be playing live at Reef Rd Rum Bar on Clematis
St. , WPB, FL doing a special after party and CD release celebration.
Going to be a great post SunFest party, stop by on your way out of
SunFest, we go on at 9:45 PM and will be playing all night!!

I am so excited to announce the addition of a couple big dates coming up
including a spot at SunFest May 2nd at 12:30 on the main south stage. Get to

April 15th we will be in Gainesville, FL at Common Grounds joining up with

Breaking News - Release Date Set!!

Official worldwide release date of April 29th is set for the new album!
Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah!

For those of you who ordered advanced copies at the promotional shows you
will have them sent out to you within the next couple weeks. Thank you for
your advanced purchases, and much needed support.

Speaking of, this coming week please come out and support the band as we
showcase the new music live at the following great venues.

3/21/10 - Square Grouper

3/23/10 - Roxy's

3/25/10 - Reef Road Rum Bar

On 3/28/10 we will be a part of Jax Jam For Haiti at the Freebird Live in
Jacksonville, FL. If you are in the area, or know people in the area please
tell them to come on out for a great day of music. All proceeds going to
support the relief effort in Haiti.

On April 15th we will be up in Gainesville for a show at Common Grounds, a
great warm up for Wanee Fest, come on up and kick the jams!

be joining forces with me in promoting my new album release and everything
beyond. Looking forward to a long relationship with these guys helping me
spread the word about the new music. The album will have an official
worldwide release date of April 2010 however advanced copies will be
available at promotional shows leading up to the release as well as for
subscribers to the new mattfarr.com launching soon. Those of you who already

Thank You Everyone For A Great Show Last Night

A very special THANK YOU to everyone who braved the cold weather last night
and came out to the promotional show for my new CD. It's never that cold
here in SoFla! Regardless, we had an amazing time playing music for you, and
showcasing the new music!

I need to say a special thank you to the Grouper for hosting the event as
well as the band Craig Stevens, Craig Barnette, Eric Brigmond, and Pete
Winders who were amazing as usual. Also I want to say thank you to Chris
Mason and Vic Russo for their amazing job with the sound system, you guys
made it sound great out front as well as on stage.

Stay tuned everyone for the official release of the new album, those of you
who bought the advanced purchase last night can expect your copy in the mail
before the music hits the streets. Thanks again for everyone's support!

Recording Underway!

Hello, hello everyone out there, I hope you have come back to check in with
the blog update. Phase one of recording the new solo album is in the books.
We had a great time laying down the tracks, not only was it musically
sounding great but everyone involved was super cool and digging it! The ten
tracks need some finishing touches and mixing, then hopefully we will have a
release sometime in Dec. Otherwise fall is here, the surf is picking up, the
weather is cooling down, the BBQ griller is built, enjoy your days and be
sure to check back again soon for more info on the upcoming album.

Recording In The Works

October will be an exciting month everybody, I will be going
into the studio to begin recording my self-titled solo album. As you can see
from the site, the album artwork by Matt Bross is already being put into
motion, the site is getting geared up, and I am really looking forward to
working on this new music. I am going to try and document the process each step
of the way and throw up some video on the blog. Thanks for everyone's
support and keep coming out to see Vanilla Monk at the Square Grouper! More to
